Review

Dishonored is a 2012 action adventure video game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Dishonored is mostly a stealth game, where you play a kind of assassin, in a somewhat steampunk city. In Dishonored you play Corvo Attano a security guard turned assassin who gets framed for murdering the Queen, causing you to set out to recapture your good name and rid the city of the corrupt people conspiring against you, features role-playing game elements such as the ability to upgrade powers and to make moral choices with focus on non-linear consequences. The game is first-person, but like Deus Ex it's not a run and gun shooter. Corvo is a powerful fighter with pistol, sword, and crossbow, and he only becomes more powerful as he upgrades his equipment and powers by collecting treasure and hidden runes and charms, but he's not invincible. The player has forty bone charms, six active powers, four passive powers, which grant him or her supernatural perks such as the ability to increase the duration of rat possession. The main supernatural powers are unlocked and purchased using runes, and each can be upgraded, power are "Blink", a short-distance teleportation ability, "Wind Blast", a gust of wind that can knock down enemies, "Devouring Swarm", which summons a swarm of deadly rats,  "Dark Vision", which allows the player to see enemies through walls. Dishonored is a fantastic game that puts you in a playground of murder and stealth while still keeping focused on an interesting story in a rich and enthralling world.
