Grand Theft Auto IV is a 2008 Action video game developed by Rockstar North, and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 29 April 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and on 2 December 2008 on PC. When Rockstar comes knocking at our door with the inevitable PC version then, this is one computer port definitely not worth rolling our eyes at - especially when you consider how improved technology can enhance the Liberty City experience. Stepping off a boat in the shoes of illegal immigrant Niko Bellic as he arrives in Liberty City at the start of GTA IV, you can tell immediately that Rockstar North's latest offering is something quite special. GTA IV PC can be played both with keyboard and Mouse or via an Xbox 360 controller or if you're really anal you can chose to drive with one and run around on foot with another. To be fair, when we finally managed to get the game running well, it still looked superb, but it seems it's going to be some time before you're going to be able to set all the graphical options to max and enjoy the show. Quite like its predecessors, Grand Theft Auto IV allows the player to intervene on a large open world environment. Players can steal and drive a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, boats, helicopters, and motorcycles. Grand Theft Auto IV takes advantage of Natural Motion's, which combines artificial intelligence, bio-mechanics and physics to make open, non-linear environments that allow players to explore and choose how they wish to play the game. When you're not running missions for criminals, taking part in street races, stealing cars to order, or randomly causing trouble, you'll find that there are plenty of opportunities to unwind in Liberty City. Gunfights in Grand Theft Auto IV are conducted using a third-person system^. The game's cover system allows the player to deftly move between cover, to fire blindly, aim freely, and target a specific enemy. Individual body parts can also be targeted.
